Do candidates want to be assessed by AI?

Potentialpark data consistently shows how frustrating application processes can be for candidates, resulting in one-third of candidates globally who have given up on an application this year. 

Unsurprisingly, candidates have jumped at the opportunity to turn to ChatGPT (and other solutions) to improve their CVs, quickly write convincing cover letters and even automate job applications.

On the other hand, employers and professional platforms have also started implementing new technologies to help with talent communication, opportunity matching and even candidate screening. 

Potentialpark takes a deeper look into how candidates perceive the integration of conversational AI, in particular, into the online application process via a global online Study.

With the rapid growth of AI solutions, many feel a need to catch up and understand AI better to build stronger opinions. Over 50% of respondents are therefore currently doubtful or uncertain.

As of now, it appears that there are 2 aspects of the online application process, one when candidates are open to using AI and one when they’re not.
